How to cook cous cous perfectly

Our organic wholemeal couscous is grown in Italy and has a unique, rich nuttly flavour.

This ingredient is super versatile in the kitchen from curries, soups, salads or sides.

But how can you master the cooking of couscous? Here some great tips:

Liquid to Couscous Ratio 1:1

If you plan to cook 1 cup of couscous, you'll need 1 cup of boiling broth or water, too little liquid and your couscous will be dry and too much liquid and your couscous will be on the sticky side.

Let it be

Stir your couscous in the boiling liquid and remove from heat immediately. Quickly cover the saucepan with a lid and let the couscous sit for about 10 minutes undisturbed until it has fully absorbed the liquid.

Use broth to add flavour

You can use water or broth to cook couscous, but we recommend using broth if you want a little more flavour.

Fluff it

When the couscous is ready, fluff it up with a fork. At this stage you can also add a little spice or some fresh herbs if you like.
